Web Presence Developer Program for Microsoft® FrontPage®:

Creating and Maintaining a Portfolio Page

To become a registered WPD for Microsoft FrontPage, you will need to create and host a page on your Web site that shows examples of Web sites you have created using FrontPage. Your company logo on the FrontPage referral page will be linked to this page.

  1. General Guidelines: In order to participate in the WPD program for FrontPage, applicants must meet these Web page requirements.
    • The first mention of FrontPage on each page of your Web site must appear as: Microsoft® FrontPage®.
    • FrontPage must always appear as one word, with a capital F and a capital P. FrontPage must be spelled correctly on all your Web pages (not just on the portfolio page).

  2. Required Elements: The Portfolio page is the first information about your company a potential customer sees when browsing to your site from the FrontPage referral site. When creating your portfolio page, please be sure that it meets each of the requirements and guidelines below prior to submitting the portfolio page URL for review.
    • Detailed description of the development services you offer for FrontPage. It cannot be the same as your home page.
    • URLS of web sites you have developed with FrontPage.
    • Contact information for your company.
    • A link to your home page.
    • The Portfolio page should not be "orphaned"-please include a link to your Portfolio page from the home page or main Web services page.

Note: It must be clear to a customer viewing the Portfolio page that it belongs to your company, not to Microsoft. Your company's logo and/or header must be at the top of the page, and any mention of FrontPage must be secondary to and smaller than your company's logo and header. If you have any questions regarding the portfolio page requirements, please send email to wpd@microsoft.com.

  3. References to Microsoft® FrontPage®:
    • The first mention of FrontPage on each page of your Web site must appear as: Microsoft® FrontPage®. Subsequent mentions may say simply "FrontPage."
    • FrontPage is always spelled as one word, with a capital F and a capital P. FrontPage must be spelled correctly on all your Web pages.
    • When discussing multiple versions of FrontPage, such as Microsoft® FrontPage® version 2002 and Microsoft® FrontPage® 2000, spell out each product with the latest version mentioned first. Do not say "FrontPage version 2002/2000" or "FrontPage 2002 and 2000."
    • Registered trademark symbols must be in the proper position. Note that FrontPage should be marked with the registered trademark symbol ®. Do not use the ™ symbol. For more information on trademark usage, refer to the Trademark Guidelines.

  4. Use of the Images for FrontPage
    • All FrontPage images must include a link to http://www.microsoft.com/frontpage/. Images cannot link to any other page, including any of your site pages.
